Mr. Kwabena Agyei Agyapong, one of the five candidates who have declared their desire to run for the leadership of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), says that if awarded the office of president in 2024, he will uphold law and order and guarantee that Ghanaians maintain discipline.

Given the political objectives of the NPP, Mr. Agyapong, a former general secretary of the NPP, indicated that his ambition to head the party and run for president is motivated by his dedication to humanity.

The flagbearer candidate, who has previously run for the NPP flagbearership, thinks party members cannot overlook his extensive and devoted devotion to the elephant family since it qualifies him for the role at hand.

“The party has rules and regulations, and we don’t need to jump the gun. When the time comes, you will know the warmth of the youth because my message resonates with them.”

“Because I’ve worked with this party’s leadership, they see in me the future of our political heritage”, he said in an interview.

He claims that he will be a forceful and powerful president when he wins the NPP’s flagbearer contest and the ensuing general elections in 2024.

A strong penalty system would be in place, according to the former general secretary of the NPP, to make sure that individuals who breach the law are not let off the hook.

“After 30 years of democracy, we need a clear change from what we are used to because what we have done in the last years has not produced any fruitful outcomes,” the candidate for president said.

Mr. Agyapong said, “I want to establish order and discipline first and foremost and also have a rigorous punishment system to dissuade lawbreakers.”
