IGP interdicts two policewomen over unprofessional conduct

Two police officers from the Asokwa Divisional MTTD in Kumasi, PW/Inspr Martha Ackah and No. 6233 PW/Sergeant Felicia Ocran, were detained by the Police Administration after they were caught on camera acting inappropriately.

The two policewomen were seen collecting GH 10 from a driver who was allegedly involved in a traffic violation in a social media sensational video.

Following a comprehensive investigation into the incident in accordance with Police internal disciplinary processes, the officers will be charged.

“We would like to urge the affected victims to come forward and support police investigation to enable us to take the officers through the due process of the law as we seek to ensure that our officers uphold the highest form of professional standards” the Police stated in their statement.
