Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen has assured the populace of Ghana that he will provide vital infrastructure and lead an inclusive administration.

He made this declaration today on Kumasi based Otec FM’s Dwabrem in an interview with the host Prince Nii Ade (Dok Cash).

Using the wisdom and experiences of people from many backgrounds who are not necessarily linked with a political party, he claimed that as an independent president, he would assure inclusive administration that would serve to further Ghana’s development.

Since he was not running for president on the platform of any political party, Mr. Kyerematen emphasized that he offered that neutral ground for all Ghanaians, both at home and abroad, to contribute to the development of the country. He stated that there are a number of people who would like to serve in a government that is not affiliated with any political party.

In discussing some of his main political stances, the founder of the Movement for Change stated that his administration would ensure the stability of Ghana’s currency, arguing that without it, there would be nothing that could be done to improve the nation’s economic situation.

He continued by promising to work to lower interest rates and inflation.

Additionally, Mr. Kyerematen stated that his administration would reduce Ghana’s debt.

When elected president of Ghana, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen says the country will process 60% of its raw resources. Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen last week announced his intention to compete as an independent in the 2024 presidential election.

According to him, one important factor contributing to Ghana’s massive foreign exchange losses is the lack of value addition to the country’s basic commodities.

By adding value to raw resources, Ghana’s economy would gain from greater employment prospects as well as more foreign cash.

Kyerematen was appointed Ghana’s ambassador to the U.S. when the NPP came into office in 2001 to 2003.

He served as a trade advisor at the UN Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Mr Kyerematen who served as Trade and Industry Minister from 2003 to 2007 under former President J.A. Kufuor and under President Akufo-Addo’s leadership from 2017 to January 2023 said this in an exclusive interview on Otec FM on tuesday afternoon, as part of his campaign tour in Ashanti Region.
