The Minister for the Interior, Hon. Ambrose Dery, paid a visit to the police officer who was wounded during a shootout between the police and some of the Caprice armed robbers at the hospital where he is getting medical care.
The officer was visited to get an update on his health and to send him good vibes.
During a special operation to apprehend the armed robbers in their hideaway, the officer was wounded in the thigh.
The Hon. Minister used the occasion to express gratitude to the Police for their vital contributions to the nation and to reassure them of his Ministry’s commitment to helping the Police combat crime.
Dr. George Akuffo-Dampare, the Inspector-General of Police, Commissioner of Police (COP) Nathan Kofi Boakye, COP/George Mensah, COP/Paul Manly Awini, COP/Habiba Twumasi-Sarpong, and a few other senior officials were present to accompany the Hon. Minister.
