Member of the Ashanti Regional Communication team of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Mr Ishaq Kyei-Brobbey, has officially announced his intention to contest the Party’s Communications Directors position ahead of the 2028 general elections.
He made the declaration on his Facebook page, where he sought prayers and blessings ahead of the contest.
According to him the decision is the product of deep reflection on where the party stands, where they must go, and the calibre of leadership required to return the NPP to power in 2028.
He says history teaches that comebacks are not accidental; they are engineered with clarity, discipline, and competence and therefore the time has come for tested patriots with the right expertise to step forward and place their skills at the service of the Party.
“I am also a familiar and trusted voice in the media space. For over 14 continuous years, I have represented the Party across radio, television, and social media platforms. I am a regular panelist on Wontumi TV, Angel FM, Pure FM, OTEC FM, Kessben Media, Ash FM, and many others, particularly on issues of finance, the economy, and public policy. STATEMENT OF DECLARATION OF INTENT, ASHANTI REGIONAL COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR (HOPEFUL) ISHAQ KYEI-BROBBEY
Today, 1st January 2026, I formally and solemnly declare my intention to contest for the position of Ashanti Regional Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
This decision is the product of deep reflection on where our party stands, where we must go, and the calibre of leadership required to return the NPP to power in 2028. History teaches us that comebacks are not accidental; they are engineered with clarity, discipline, and competence. The time has come for tested patriots with the right expertise to step forward and place their skills at the service of the Party. I present myself in that spirit.
I bring to this contest stability, maturity, strategic clarity, and unalloyed loyalty to the New Patriotic Party. I possess a thorough grasp of competitor analysis, competitive strategy, and strategic execution, and I understand how communications must be deliberately aligned with electoral victory, especially within the Regional Executive Team. It is this conviction, and this sense of duty, that has informed my decision.
For over two decades, I have served Ghana’s academic community, teaching at GIMPA Business School, Kumasi Technical University (KsTU), and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). I have served as Head of Department with measurable results, and on governing boards where I learned the art of managing diverse views and forging consensus for institutional success. These experiences have refined my leadership, judgment, and appreciation of teamwork, qualities indispensable in political communication.
My service to the New Patriotic Party spans years of commitment, sacrifice, and consistency. I have invested my time, resources, and energy in the Party’s growth. I have served as Patron of TESCON, KsTU, as a member of the Ashanti Regional Communication Team, as a supervisor for constituency elections, and as part of the Ashanti Regional Research Team.
In the true spirit of volunteerism, I have worked as a Polling Station Agent and as a member of the Regional Collation Centre Team during both parliamentary and presidential elections. I have supported campaigns across the region, served on campaign committees, and assisted individual candidates whenever duty called.
The cumulative effect of these engagements is a deep, practical understanding of the political terrain and constituency dynamics of Ashanti Region. I am known to party faithful across the region, not by reputation alone, but by presence, service, and reliability.
I am also a familiar and trusted voice in the media space. I am trained in political communication by the Party and understand how to shape narratives, defend our record, and prosecute our message with discipline and confidence.
Going forward, leadership must be firm, inclusive, and results-driven. Capacity building must be intentional. Motivation must be sustained. Media relations must be renewed and strategic support for the Communication Team must be deliberate. Challenges must be fixed swiftly. Conflicts must be resolved decisively. Unity must be non-negotiable. Teamwork must be absolute.
Restoring the NPP to glory is not optional, it is imperative. And Ashanti Region must lead this charge.
I submit, with humility and confidence, that Ishaq Kyei-Brobbey is prepared to lead the Ashanti Regional Communication Team at this critical moment. Together, we can reposition our message, strengthen our base, expand our appeal, and deliver victory in 2028.
May peace, unity, and purpose guide our Party.
