It is possible for Ghana to lose over $10 billion to corruption – Sammy Gyamfi mocks Bawumia

Sammy Gyamfi, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communications Officer, has made fun of New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia by exploiting his campaign slogan, “IT IS POSSIBLE.”

On Friday, May 17, Gyamfi enumerated a number of alleged shortcomings of the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia administration and framed them in the slogan “IT IS POSSIBLE” in a social media post.

He brought up Dr. Bawumia’s “It is possible” to break the eight, which is his campaign slogan for the general election of 2024, among other things.

“IT IS POSSIBLE for Ghana to lose over $10 billion to corruption under the watch of Bawumia, having lost $2 billion dollars through the stinking PDS scandal he personally orchestrated” Sammy Gyamfi stated.

In his opinion, the administration has fallen short in a number of areas, as Mr. Gyamfi highlighted. He added that the current government may see the dollar surpass GH¢20, noting its notable rise from GH¢4 in 2016 to around GH¢15 at the moment.

Furthermore, Mr. Gyamfi emphasized the unemployment rate’s upward trend, speculating that it may top 20% during the present administration.

He pointed out that under the present government, unemployment has increased from 8.4% in 2016 to 14.7%.

In his last remarks, Gyamfi compared the unmet promise of concrete roads made to them in 2017 with Dr. Bawumia’s pledge to supply drivers with electric cars.

Under Bawumia’s leadership, it is feasible for a dollar to surpass GH¢20, as it has already risen from GH¢4 in 2016 to over GH¢15.

4. IT IS POSSIBLE for the public debt to cross GH¢1 trillion under the watch of Bawumia, having increased from GH¢120 billion in 2016 to over GH¢630 billion already.
5. IT IS POSSIBLE for Ghana to lose over $10 billion to corruption under the watch of Bawumia, having lost $2 billion dollars through the stinking PDS scandal he personally orchestrated.
6. IT IS POSSIBLE for deceptive Bawumia to hoodwink some unsuspecting Ghanaians with his plagiarized promises to scrap the E-Levy, Bet levy, and the emissions levy, having failed to move the nation from taxation to production.
7. And oh, IT IS POSSIBLE for Bawumia to deceive drivers with his promise to provide them with electric cars, having failed to deliver the concrete roads he promised them in 2017.
