The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) parliamentary candidate for the Ablekuma Central constituency is media practitioner Jefferson Kwamina Sackey.
With 539 votes, Mr. Sackey secured the top spot out of 1,484 valid votes, ahead of Collins Amoah, his main rival, who received 493 votes.
Lawrence Anyetei Adjei received 11 votes, while Ebenezer Gilbert Nii Narh Nartey received 441 votes.
Prior to the election, Mr. Sackey expressed optimism about his chances of winning the primaries and emphasized the significance of the NPP regaining the Ablekuma Central seat with him in office.
He claimed that the NPP’s success in the constituency depended on fielding a formidable parliamentary candidate.
