The New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer and vice president, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has received praise from Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, for continuing to uphold his moral principles and humility throughout the years.
On the final day of his regional tour, Dr. Bawumia visited the Asantehene at the Manhyia Palace to discuss his vision and policies with the Ashanti King. Dr. Bawumia began campaigning in the Ashanti Region on Monday.
Speaking at the meeting, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II commended Dr. Bawumia for his personality as well as his excellent plans for the nation.
“I know you, and you have not changed over the years. Your humility is the same,” the Asantehene said.
“Keep your humility and maintain your decent character, especially your humility.”
Dr. Bawumia was also advised by Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to “continue to be humble to all Ghanaians” and concentrate on promoting his vision and his policies.
“Ghana needs development and progress, and I appreciate your vision for the country.”
“The mantle in your hand is very huge, so keep spreading your vision and policies to Ghanaians so they can understand you.”
The Asantehene, who commended Dr. Bawumia for sticking to issues in his campaign, assured the Vice President of his continuous prayers for him.
