On Tuesday, February 13, 2024, during a sitting of the house, Assin Central Member of Parliament (MP) Kennedy Ohene Agyapong and Ngleshie Amonfro MP Sylvester Tetteh got close to getting into a physical altercation.
There were angry exchanges between the two MPs for the New Patriotic Party.
It was necessary for fellow MP Alexander Afenyo-Markin to usher Mr. Tetteh out of the house quickly in order to prevent the situation from getting worse.
Mr Agyapong continued to approach him menacingly and making offensive hand gestures during that entire time.
In a brief footage of the event, Mr. Agyapong was seen returning to his seat and continuing to talk in an unpleasant manner.
What caused the tension to build between the two MPs is unknown.
But after the incident, a different NPP MP approached the governing party’s embattled flagbearer more closely to listen to his complaints.
