The campaign team backing Kennedy Agyapong’s bid for the flagbearer position is confident that Kennedy Agyapong will win the next NPP presidential election on November 4 with a landslide.

They stress Agyapong’s unwavering dedication to leading the ruling party to victory in the general election of 2024.

On Wednesday, September 13, 2023, the Assin Central MP was given the top vote. Lawyer William Kusi, a spokesman for the Kennedy Agyapong Campaign Team in the Ashanti Region, confidently predicted a 70% victory for the member of parliament.

“He [Kennedy Agyapong] picked the first position for the second time. It speaks volumes about the fact that he is the chosen one. What I see in simple terms is acceptance and approval. What I see is that he is the people’s choice, and nothing will change that,” Kusi said.

“And so, the party should allow the process to go on smoothly and democratically because obviously if the party conducts a fair election, he will have more than 70 per cent. The signal is that the other candidates should just support his candidature”, he said.

With the introduction of the “Showdown- Ken for Power Campaign” in Suame, the effort to persuade delegates to support Agyapong’s candidacy is gaining momentum in the stronghold of the ruling party.

“We know Ken Agyapong can rescue this country, and we support this vision,” the group’s head Nana Boadu stated. As executives, we shall make every effort to convince the delegates to support him. We are mobilizing all of our resources to help Agyapong win this election, and we anticipate success at the polls.

In a competitive race, the Assin Central MP takes on Vice President Bawumia, former Agriculture Minister Dr. Afriyie Akoto, and former Mampong Addai-Nimoh MP.
