Kintampo North residents in the Bono East Region have received a severe warning from Kennedy Agyapong, the Assin Central Member of Parliament.

If they don’t support the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the forthcoming elections, the lawmaker warns them that they would pay a heavy price.

He berated the locals, saying that in spite of holding many important positions in the government, the area had only demonstrated ungraciousness by voting for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) during previous elections.

In the event that the NPP does not win in the constituency, he further threatened to obstruct sports and infrastructure initiatives.

“If you don’t vote [for NPP] and you insist that we should come and develop this area… I am the Chairman at Ghana Gas who can authorise its construction, but I will personally not do it. Because you never vote for us. You will collect all there is in the world but won’t vote for us,” Kennedy Agyapong said harsh remarks.

Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s running partner, also asked voters in Kintampo North to alter their voting habits.

He maintained that the NPP has continually shown itself to be a nondiscriminatory, inclusive party.

NAPO gave them the assurance that by supporting Dr. Bawumia, they would be choosing a leader who will lead Ghana ahead and put revolutionary policies into place to further the nation’s growth.
