Founder and Leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Percival Kofi Akpaloo has advised independent candidates in the upcoming Kumawu by-election to concede defeat as there’s no hope for them.
Speaking in the sidelines of the Kumawu by-election on Otec FM’s afternoon political talkshow which was transmitted live from from Kumawu, Kofi Akpaloo described the by-election as a tough fight for the independent candidates especially one Kwaku Duah as to him, its a fight against all forces and government.
“Cash, this is not like a general election where there is not much attention at a particular constituency so this is a fight against a whole government” he said.
According to him, such elections needs much resources and strength hence no need for anyone to contest the NPP candidate Ernest Yaw Anim since the NPP government will do whatever it takes to maintain the seat.
Kofi Akpaloo however urged the Mr. Kwaku Duah to reserve his resources and strength for the next elections where is would be a local and constituency-based elections.
