Dr. Kwabena Duffuor, a former finance minister and presidential hopeful for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), began a four-day campaign trip of the Eastern Region today, Monday, May 1, 2023.
Dr. Duffuor will address the 33 delegates in the area in person to lay out his vision for creating a strong party with a strong grassroots in preparation for victory in 2024.
Before individually meeting with party delegates in the New Juaben North and South district, he and his campaign team met with the regional officials of the party.
He claims to be the only candidate who will consider the needs of the grassroots supporters and ensure that they are met.
If elected, Dr. Duffuor promised to make sure Branch and Constituency Executives receive a monthly salary for their hard work.
Also, he promised to replace the current rented facilities with permanent regional party offices across the nation with enough resources.
Dr. Duffuor emphasized that the moment had come for Ghanaians to experience rapid growth in all spheres, and he said he was the best and only candidate to take them to their destination.
He urged the Branch and Constituency Executives to support him in the party’s primaries on May 13 so that he might lead the group to victory in the future general election in 2024.
