Let’s unite to break the 8-Hon Akwasi Osei Agyei to NPP grassroots

Former Foreign Affairs Minister in erstwhile Kufour,s regime and third term Member of Parliament for Ejisu- Juaben Constituency in the Ashanti region who is vying for National Chairman position of New Patriotic Party(NPP) Hon Akwasi Osei Agyei has hinted that breaking the ` 8` years jinx of power is can only be achievable with unity, reconciliation and recognition of founding members and grassroots coming on board with their ideologies.

According to him, legacy of NPP government in terms of governance and development are evidence from former President Kuffour,s regime to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo,s era with historic flagship programs like : 1D1F, planting for food and jobs, Free SHS, one district one Ambulance amongst others.

Hon Osei Agyei said lack of unity, complacency and cohesion affected the NPP fortune in 2008 elections. President Kuffour laid good foundation for continuity but due to change of power to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) they couldn’t continue with the good work and rather turned the country backwards.

In his Ashanti region tour to interacts with the Atwima Nwabiagya South & North Constituency executives of his vision and solicit their support he advice the constituents to settle their differences in order to break the `8` to continue the good works for the party and the country as a whole.

On development planning and other strategies to break the 8 he admitted that the Ashanti regional votes alone could cancel 9 regions if votes turn out goes high and calls on authorities to be strategist and gives attention of development especially solving roads network deficit in the region and other strongholds of the party to boost the party chances in 2024 elections.

He urged the NPP party to give more attention to their strongholds in terms of development in order not to bring in apathy that can lead to power loss in the 2024 general elections.
