The chairman of the New Patriotic Party and two party officials are accused by the Offinso South NDC constituency communication officer in the Ashanti region of busing voters from the constituency to another constituency so they may register for voter ID cards.

The Offinso South NPP party chairman is assisted by two other executives to bus first-time voters who are natives of Offinso South to register in Offinso North constituency during the ongoing limited registration exercise, according to Henry Nana Prempeh, the Offinso South NDC constituency communication officer, who made the revelation.

Henry Nana Prempeh said the NDC party has gathered evidence of reliable information that the NPP chairman and his cohorts are busing over 600 first time voters who are students and some residents in Offinso South to Offinso North constituency for registration.

“The NPP according to the information we are picking is gearing towards busing students from Namong Senior High School and first-first time voters from Offinso-Abofour township to Offinso North constituency to register” he said.

Mr. Prempeh speaking to journalists on Wednesday, has issued a strong warning to the NPP to refrain from busing individuals to registration centers in the ongoing limited registration exercise.

He thus warned that, “the NDC in Offinso South shall resist fearless and will respond appropriate to the NPP in their self-seeking attempt to perpetuate any illegality” he told journalists while touring some registration centers in Offinso South.

The constituency communication officer reveals that the New Patriotic Party in Offinso South as part of their evil plans, are again attempting to bus minors to register and participate in the registration process, which is strictly reserved for eligible Ghanaian citizens who have attained the age of 18 years.

It is for the above reasons that NDC in the Offinso South is notifying the Electoral Commission of Ghana and the Ghana Police Service about the New Patriotic Party’s diabolic actions in Offinso South.

Mr. Prempeh emphasized that, in the ultimate interest of peace and harmony in Offinso South Constituency, the Ghana Police Services and election stakeholders must intervene in the above-raised issues to for-store any possible clash especially between the two dominant political parties.

He stressed that parents whose children might be used in the commission of those crimes by the NPP in Offinso South are therefore advised to act swiftly, cautioning that, when those children are caught, they will be arrested.
