Dr. Bernice Anowa Welbeck has been formally welcomed by the National Labour Commission (NLC) as the Commission’s new Acting Executive Secretary.
The Commission’s members, management, and staff welcomed Dr. Welbeck in a statement released on Friday, April 25, calling her appointment timely and well-earned.
With specialized knowledge in labor administration, policy governance, human resources management, employee relations, general administration, leadership, and organizational management, Dr. Welbeck offers a plethora of public administration experience to the position.
She is also a seasoned HR professional, a renowned management consultant, and an authority on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). Dr. Welbeck has spent 34 years in the civil and public sector as a trainer and educator, making a substantial contribution to the advancement of the country.
With 12 years of graduate-level lecturing experience and 21 years of experience as a trainer and facilitator, her academic credentials are equally outstanding. She is well known for her proficiency in instructional design and curriculum development.
Leadership and Organizational Development, Strategic Human Resource Management, Industrial and Labor Relations, Negotiations and Conflict Resolution, Public Administration, and International Relations are just a few of the many areas of study that Dr. Welbeck offers.
