Attacks have been made on the life of Percival Kofi Akpaloo, the founder and leader of LPG.

Kofi Akpaloo has claimed that a few ardent supporters of NDC leader John Dramani Mahama have repeatedly threatened to deal with him over the phone for his intermittent criticism of Mahama and the party’s performance.

On Tuesday, Mr. Akpaloo informed the media that since he disagreed with John Mahama’s assertion that the Akufo-Addo administration received a stronger and more resilient economy from his camp, he has been receiving menacing phone calls from boys he believes to be from the former president’s camp.

Few days ago, outspoken Kofi Akpaloo, speaking on Asempa FM’s flagship program, Ekosiisen disagreed with John Mahama on his assertion, saying “Ghana is now much better under Akufo-Addo than it was under John Dramani Mahama”.

Mr. Akpaloo said “since I made that comment, I have been receiving several phone calls of threats from NDC guys who are within the camp of John Mahama”.

By sharing a recorded audio of a threat, he received over the phone, he exposed Mr. Frank Kwaku Appiah, also known as “Appiah Stadium,” an NDC serial caller, as one of the perpetrators.

This is the transcript of the threatening statement that Appiah Stadium allegedly made to Akpaloo over the phone.

“You went to NPP to collect money. If we watched unconcerned for you to insult John Dramani Mahama in the previous electioneering season (2020), this time Akpaloo we will not resort to gun and Cutlass.

We will insult you heavily for you to know that we are not fools.

Akpaloo if you own a land cruiser vehicle, me too I deserve to own a land cruiser…I’m fit for a land cruiser if I work hard for John Mahama to come to power.

You can’t attack Mahama every electioneering season and capitalize on that to earn huge sums of money and contracts from NPP.

These things must end this time. I’m telling you in plain language.

This is not a threat. You are My brother and I must tell you the truth. You are My brother and we will not allow you to use your smartness to toy with John Mahama.

I’m telling you in plain language. We will not allow this madness.  I’m madder than you are…”

Mr. Akpaloo in an exclusive interview with media said he is set to report the matter to the police and take legal action against persons behind the act.

“But I must confess that I don’t fear any of them. I’m not a coward and nobody too can silence me”, he spoke braggadociosly.
