The National Democratic Congress (NDC) nominee, John Mahama, is still in the lead with 53% of votes, according to the most recent Global InfoAnalytics survey, which was completed about ninety days before the 2024 General Election.
Remarkably, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flag bearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), has 31.6% of the vote, which is still less than 40% according to surveys taken thus far.
Cheddar, whose real name is Nana Kwame Bediako, and Alan Kyerematen, the head of the Great Alliance, the former Minister of Trade, lag behind with 2.3% and 1.1%, respectively.
Before the election, a staggering 11.2% of voters are still unsure.
“Nearly 90 days before Ghanaians go to the poll, a new Global InfoAnalytics poll conducted over the phone in all 16 regions shows that 73% of voters believe Ghana is headed in the wrong direction while 20% say it is headed in the right direction, 7% did not have an opinion.
“The poll also finds 63% of voters disapprove of the performance of the president while 30% approve and 7% did not have an opinion. However, in the case of the governing party, 6% rated their performance as excellent, 28% as very good/good, 53% rated the government as very poor/poor, and 13% rate their performance as average” survey explained.
It continued: “On voters’ standard of living compared to a year ago, 20% say it has improved, 55% say it has gotten worse, 19% say it has not changed and 7% did not have an opinion. On corruption, 60% of voters say it has gotten worse, 17% say it has improved, 16% say it has not changed and 7% did not have an opinion.

Additionally, 77% of voters express some anxiety about election violence, according to the research. Merely 23% expressed their lack of fear over violence during the approaching elections.
components of the poll said that when voters were asked what would influence their vote more, “the past performance of the parties ranked highest, with 54%, followed by the current economic condition, with 53%, the credibility of the candidates, with 39%, manifestoes, with 20%, and other reasons, with 18%.”
