John Dramani Mahama, a former president, has once more attacked the Akufo-Addo administration. Mahama declared that his subsequent administration would be unique.
The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer pledged to lead with vision and altruism as opposed to the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) continuation of business as usual.
“Of course, I can assure you that the John Mahama administration from January 7, 2025, will be different. I promise visionary and selfless leadership and not the business-as-usual approach of the NPP.”
He further chastised the President and his Vice, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia for eroding the democratic goodwill of the country, calling on Ghanaians to vote for the government on December 7, 2024 polls.
“The upcoming December 07, 2024, election is therefore crucial to restoring faith in our constitutional democracy. I maintain that the poor leadership of Akufo-Addo and Bawumia must be held accountable for the corruption and deteriorating conditions under their watch over the last almost seven years,” Johm Mahama posted on his social media handles.
According to former president John Mahama, Ghana’s democratic reputation has been damaged by the inept leadership of President Akufo-Addo and his vice president, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
Mr. Mahama referred to the elections on December 7, 2024 as being vital because they will ensure accountability in a Facebook post on Friday, September 1, 2023.
“Nana Akufo-Addo and Bawumia’s acts and inept leadership have utterly undermined Ghana’s democratic goodwill. A low point in political credibility has never been reached in the history of the Fourth Republic.
But with the same party and its people continuing in charge who brought us to this breaking point, we cannot ensure accountability, he concluded.
The former President further stated that his leadership in January 7, 2025 will be different.
“Of course, I can assure you that the John Mahama administration from January 7, 2025, will be different. I promise visionary and selfless leadership and not the business-as-usual approach of the NPP.
“Welcome to a new month, September 2023. We have 463 days more for the people’s true verdict on December 07, 2024. Let’s keep our democracy intact,” Mr. Mahama concluded.
