National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate John Mahama is claiming that the administration of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is creating fake opinion surveys.

He claims that this is the case since every reliable pollster indicates that the NDC would win the upcoming election.

He is making these statements as he steps up his campaign in the North East.

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP presidential candidate, resides in this neighborhood.

But in his own neighborhood, Mr. Mahama has sworn to defeat him.

According to a Global InfoAnalytics survey conducted earlier this week, Mr. Mahama continues to lead the NPP’s Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia by a significant margin.

The survey shows Mahama gaining 51.1% of committed voters, while Bawumia trailed with 37.3%.

According to recent polls by Outcomes International, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), is expected to receive the largest percentage of votes in the 2024 presidential election. John Mahama, the nominee of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), is expected to trail closely behind.

According to surveys, John Mahama is expected to receive 45.1% of the vote, while Dr. Bawumia is predicted to receive 49.4%. 5.2% of votes are still up for grabs, and less than 1% (0.3%) of the total will be split among the other presidential candidates.

Thousands of registered voters from across the nation were interviewed for the survey between August and September of this year.

“Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will win in 11 out of 16 regions while Mr. Mahama wins in 5 regions. The overall findings show a very close contest between Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia (49.4%) and Mr. Mahama (45.1%). However, 5.2% of the respondents were undecided while 0.3% of the respondents said they would vote for other candidates,” the report said.

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and former President John Mahama are the two candidates in the presidential election scheduled for December 2024. At different points in time, a number of reliable surveys have ranked one over the other. According to the most recent survey, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is slightly ahead of John Mahama, who has been unable to regain power in the 2020 elections since his defeat in 2016.
