Mahama storms Kumawu to campaign ahead of by-election

Today, May 19, 2023, a group from the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the main opposition party, storms Kumawu in the Ashanti Region.

John Dramani Mahama, the party’s flagbearer, was the delegation’s leader.

In the impending Kumawu by-election, Mr. Mahama will be in charge of the delegation to support NDC Parliamentary Candidate Akwasi Amankwa.

Party leaders have already visited the district to show their support for the parliamentary candidate.

While in Kumawu, Mr. Mahama will meet with several campaign organizations after paying a visit to the Kumawu chief.

The Electoral Commission has declared that a by-election will take place in the Kumawu constituency on Tuesday, May 23, 2023.

As a result of MP Philip Basoah’s passing, the position is now vacant.
