“What I can say is that when you listen to the majority of Ghanaians, that is what they are hoping will happen. And if that will be the case, I will oblige. I also think that will help the country” Alan Kyerematen stated.

At the forthcoming elections, independent presidential candidate Alan Kyerematen has said that he would team up with Kennedy Agyapong.

He claims that he will gladly comply with that request for an alliance.

Former flagbearer candidate Alan Kyerematen, together with Kennedy Agyapong, left the New Patriotic Party to found A New Movement, an organization he describes as apolitical.

Kennedy Agyapong, who is vying to lead the NPP into the 2024 general elections, has vowed to leave the party and run as an independent if he feels mistreated in the impending NPP national delegate elections on November 4, 2023.

The former Trade Minister spoke with Prince Nii Ade(Dok Cash) when he appeared on Kumasi’s based Otec FM to discuss is presidential ambition.

The similarities in their objectives were further highlighted by explanation.

He made it clear that he and Kennedy Agyapong both firmly think that business is the key to Ghana’s prosperity.

“For me, everything I mention as my wish for the nation comes down to business, and he [referring to Ken] is also talking about business,” she said. So let’s wait until the elections are over.

After their elections, he continued, “we will sit and see how far that will go if we see a possibility to form an alliance.”

On September 25, 2023, Mr. Kyerematen announced his resignation from the NPP. He also announced the formation of his butterfly movement and his plan to run as an independent in the 2024 presidential election during a press conference to announce the resignation.
