Stephen Honu, an electrician, was killed while working on a rural electricity project at Jachie-pramso in the Bosomtwe region of the Ashanti Region.

He was discovered dead in the town, still wearing his protective overall suit and carrying electrical cords. His body was discovered beneath an electric pole.

Stephen Honu was a member of a team of five people contracted by Wilkwak Engineering Limited for the rural electricity extension project, according to Richard Bimpe, the assembly member for the neighborhood.

His absence was noticed by his coworkers, who at first assumed he had left the office due to the challenging nature of the task.

However, after learning he hadn’t returned home, the assemblyman and his coworkers, along with the Unit Committee Chairman, issued a missing person’s alert at the neighborhood information center.

His body was found under one of the power poles after a search was conducted.

Because the pole he was working on had broken and exposed the naked wire, there is speculation that he was electrocuted.
