Man in his 40s found dead in river at Berekum

In Mpatapo in Berekum East Municipality in the Bono Region, a suburb of Nyame Tease, a guy in his early forties (40s) has been discovered dead.

The person who goes by the name Kwaku Afriyie was discovered dead in a river in the early hours of Monday, June 5, 2023, in a stream with his body decomposing.

“I learned that a man had been found dead in a stream through my six-year-old son who was coming back from school,” said Lucy Gyamfua, a resident who talked with Akwaaba radio. When I arrived at the scene, I saw that the person was laying in the stream with his body decomposing and was probably there for four days.

The deceased’s body is currently at the hospital mortuary while the results of his autopsy are awaited.
