‘Match against Ghana is do and die’ – Luis Suarez

The Black Stars of Ghana have received a stern warning from Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez ahead of their pivotal match at the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.

He claims that every Uruguayan player will risk their lives to defeat Ghana and, hopefully, advance to the next round.

The former Barcelona great claimed in a news conference before the match on Friday, 2 December, that given his nation’s point total, they must defeat Ghana.

“We have one point and the final match against Ghana is do and die. We have no option than to win to make our fans happy,” Luis Suarez stated.

“We are going to put our lives and soul in this last match. Ghana is a good team but we know them, we have beaten them before and we know how to beat them again.” Suarez added.
