Six additional cases of monkeypox have been confirmed in Ghana, increasing the overall number of infections to 91.
To stop the virus from spreading further, health officials said that two patients are now admitted and being closely watched while contact tracing is being done.
The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has reassured the public that the issue is under control and has urged them to maintain their composure despite the current surge.
The public was also warned by GHS to practice excellent personal hygiene, stay away from people who are exhibiting symptoms, particularly those who have rashes that don’t seem to be related to anything else, and get medical help right away if symptoms start to show.
