To support the advancement of education, the MTN Foundation commissioned an ICT library in the Ashanti town of Wiamoase.
The goal of the modern STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) library is to give students IT skills.
As part of the MTN Foundation’s corporate social responsibility efforts, the library is the first of its sort in the Ashanti Region.
In Mamfe, Dansoman, and Akim Oda, comparable libraries have been commissioned.
The MTN Ghana Foundation’s head, Robert Kuzoe, highlighted the organization’s dedication to education and other crucial financial sectors.
He stressed that the three main areas that the Foundation now prioritizes are economic empowerment, health, and education.
As a result, he urged students to take advantage of this chance.
He emphasized that the Foundation wants to give Ghanaian students the same opportunities as their counterparts in more affluent areas.
To facilitate STEM education, the commissioned library has desktop computers, laptops, and robotic equipment.
Nana Boakye Yiadom I, the Chief of Wiamoase, commended the MTN Foundation for the effort.
He encouraged the pupils to embrace digital literacy and utilize the resources available to them in order to acquire digital skills.
To secure the Library’s longevity, Nana Boakye Yiadom asked the government to adopt a culture of meticulous maintenance.
