MTN Ghana CEO and MobileMoney Limited CEO awarded at 2023 Ghana CEO Vision and Awards

Selorm Adadevoh, the CEO of MTN Ghana, was named CEO of the Year – Telecom at the second Ghana CEO Vision and Awards, which were held in Accra. Shaibu Haruna, CEO of MobileMoney Limited (MML), was named CEO of the Year – FinTech Service Provider as well.

The Selorm Adadevoh award is given in honor of his accomplishments in the telecom sector, particularly in the areas of innovation, leadership excellence, sustainability, and other areas that have helped create jobs and advance Ghana’s economy.

General and Management Services General Manager of Supply Chain Management and General Services at Selorm, Patrick Afari, thanked the organizers for the honor.

He said the honor will greatly motivate MTN to do more for Ghanaians and the nation. According to him, “We are poised to become a technology company where we commit to building an effective platform for players to use.”

Shaibu Haruna received recognition for leading the development of innovative products and services that maintain MTN at the forefront of the Fintech industry and, above all, improve the quality of life for Ghanaians. MML has now received recognition from the Ghana CEO Vision and Awards twice. Eli Hini, the most recent CEO of MML, received the title of CEO of the Year – Fintech Service Provider at the inaugural event in 2022.

Shaibu Haruna was represented by Paapa Osei, Head of Legal and Corporate Affairs of MML, who accepted the award on his behalf.

The Ghana CEO Vision and Awards’ theme for this year was “The Role of Business Leadership Towards Achieving the SDGS in Ghana.” The award aims to recognize, honor, and celebrate a cross-section of the country’s most talented and important CEOs who have stayed relevant and harnessed the power of ideas to improve people’s lives and the nation as a whole.
