On Boxing Day, 600 specially packaged hampers were given to newborns delivered on Christmas Day at some hospitals spread throughout the 16 regions of Ghana, according to MTN Ghana authorities.

Since the start of this program in 2011, almost 3,500 hampers have been delivered to infants born on this memorable day.

22 newborns at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) were given these hampers, which are stocked with necessities for moms and their babies.

The company’s dedication to corporate social responsibility was emphasized by Mrs. Charity Darko, Corporate Services Advisor at MTN Northern Business District. “This year, we are distributing 600 hampers in 30 hospitals across Ghana, which is 100 more than last year.

Our aim is to bring joy to the mothers and babies born on Christmas Day,” she stated. 260 hampers filled with diapers, toys, baby clothes, and toiletries were sent in the Northern Sector alone, demonstrating MTN’s continued commitment to helping new families.

The 22 infants born at the hospital on December 25 and 26 were delivered without any problems or casualties, according to Madam Gifty Serwaah Adu, Nurse Manager at KATH, who also thanked MTN for taking the initiative.

She called on other businesses to help moms who are having trouble paying for their maternity care. In addition to thanking the medical team at KATH and MTN Ghana for the hampers, which offered needed things during a critical moment in their life, beneficiaries such as Dorothy Ameyaa and Madam Rosemary Appiah-Kubi expressed their gratitude and excitement for the aid received.
