The cabinet nominations of President John Mahama who were vetted earlier this week have been approved by Parliament.
The Appointments Committee recommended their confirmation in the report that was presented to the House.
Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak, an Asawase lawmaker, was also accepted for the position of Interior Minister after being vetted for it just hours prior to the House’s debates.
In addition, Parliament approved candidates for ministerial positions in the Eastern, Volta, Oti, and Northern regions.
As a result, Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey, James Gunu, John Kwadwo Gyapong, and Ali Adolf John are all regional substantive ministers.
