Ghanaians have been reassured by Movement for Change founder and leader Alan Kyerematen that he is the most qualified person to steer the nation out of its current economic difficulties.

Speaking on Monday, June 24, at the Great Transformational Plan launch at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra, Mr. Kyerematen noted that the National Democratic Congress and the New Patriotic Party, in spite of their decades-long rule, have not succeeded in delivering major developmental projects.

He applauded Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’s efforts in the war for independence but bemoaned the fact that Ghana is still unable to produce enough food, create enough jobs, or provide a steady supply of energy 67 years later.

He pledged to install a national unity administration that would unite all Ghanaians in order to exchange ideas and advance the nation. He underlined that his administration will present a new policy blueprint for transformation and that Ghana needs an annual plan, not just manifestos.

“Although our situation may be disquieting, the good news is that Ghana still remains a favored nation in both the physical and spiritual realms. What we need now is a transformational leader, a paradigm shift in our governance system as well as a mind change in Ghanaians. we have an opportunity in the general election in December this year to cross that bridge and move Ghana into a new era of peace and prosperity by electing me as the first independent candidate to become the president of Ghana,’ he said

To ensure a more effective government, he also promised to keep the total number of ministers in his administration to a maximum of 40.

“Let me begin by addressing the economic cluster, which is supported by four pillars: the macroeconomy, industrial transformation, a new agricultural revolution, and tourism. Our policies for controlling and managing our spending are the foundation of the macroeconomic pillar. And I suggest the following legislative fixes. He went on, “One, shrink the government to its current size and run a lean executive administration with no more than forty ministers.”
