Naa Ashokor leaves Asaase Radio

Broadcast Journalist and actor, Naa Ashorkor Mensah-Doku has said her goodbye to the family at Asaase radio.

Naa Ashokor made her exit known on Tuesday, August 1 on her Instagram page.

This comes after working with Asaase radio for three amazing years.

She took to her instagram saying “Today I say goodbye to my family at Asaase radio. It has been three beautiful years serving you on 99.5”

She expressed her deepest appreciation to all her audience and she is excited about what the future holds for her.

Naa Ashorkor was born on the 24th of November, 1988. She is 32 years of age as of the year 2020

She is the second of four sisters. Naa had always wanted to pursue law as a career however, she later developed a strong interest in TV News Reporting.

Naa Ashorkor was born to Mr. Paul Mensah-Doku and Sarah Mensah-Doku on November 24, 1988. member of the School’s Cadet Corps.

Naa came into the limelight when she starred in “The Perfect Picture” (2009), by Shirley Frimpong-Manso and Iroko TV’s Poisoned Bait – a movie directed by Leila Djansi.

She went into presenting when she was invited on several occasions as a guest on a Youth program New Generation, on TV Africa. She later presented Day Break Entertainment then subsequently went on to host Day Break. She was also a co-host with Okyeame Quophi on TV Africa’s variety show Sound Splash.

While with Sound Splash, she got featured in her first movie role in Scorned by Shirley Frimpong Manso.

She left TV Africa to work full-time as a Producer and TV Presenter at Production and Events Organizers, CharterHouse. She left CharterHouse in 2012.

She hosted the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2016 with Actor Chris Attoh held at the Accra International Conference Centre. She also hosted the Miss Maliaka pageant for eight years.

In 2008 she featured in her first movie role by Shirley Frimpong Manso. She is also a budding businesswoman who runs two ventures: Jaarno, a digital foodstuffs market, and April Communications, which is into theatre productions.

She was a presenter with the Multimedia Group from 2017 till 2020 where she hosted the programs Showbiz A-Z and Strong and Sassy.

She moved to Accra-Based Starr FM where she hosts The Zone and also at GH One as the host of Tales From The Powder Room and later moved to Asaase Radio which she has said her goodbye but we are yet to know her next destination.
