Napo’s wife joins NPP campaign in Odododiodoo

Alma Naa Jama Opoku Prempeh, the wife of Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO), the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) vice presidential candidate, has formally launched her political campaign in the Odododiodoo Constituency in advance of the general elections of 2024.

She started by making a big trip to her mother’s family home to ask for their approval and assistance in starting her campaign.

Mrs. Opoku Prempeh participated in customary ceremonies and was greeted warmly by her family and party supporters while accompanied by notable individuals, including as NPP regional and constituency executives and Greater Accra Regional Minister Nii Kwartei Titus-Glover. Chants of encouragement reverberated throughout the assembly, creating an exuberant mood.

Nii Agyir Banor, the head of the maternal family, bestowed ancestral blessings and prayed for protection and direction before setting out on her campaign. He urged everyone to provide their whole support, stressing the need of maintaining family togetherness.

He emphasized to her that their united efforts would honor their family in addition to helping the NPP win the next elections.

Speaking on behalf of the Ga-Adangbe community, Regional Minister Nii Kwartei Titus Glover of Greater Accra expressed the community’s enthusiasm and pleasure at the possibility of one of their own becoming the Second Lady of Ghana.

“She is one of us, and we are proud to have her here. I pray for her success and especially for the success of the Bawumia-NAPO ticket. We the Ga – Adangbes are grateful and humbled ” he added.

The visit of Mrs. Opoku Prempeh, who uses her ties to the Ga-Adangbe community to mobilize support for the NPP, was perceived as a boost to the Bawumia-NAPO ticket.
