Johnson Asiedu Nketia, the National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) national chairman, has reassured party members and delegates that the NDC is committed to securing its victory in the general elections scheduled for December 7.
Speaking to supporters in the Ashanti Region’s Bantama Constituency at Adoato, Mr. Asiedu Nketia advised poll workers to be alert and unafraid throughout the voting process.
He declared that in the event of any difficulties, the party will send attorneys to each constituency to offer legal assistance and safeguard poll workers.
He emphasized a dramatic change in the political landscape, pointing out that the NDC can now freely campaign in previously anti-party communities like Bantama.”If the NDC can campaign here today without attacks, it shows the table has turned,” he said.
Bantama residents were urged to vote for change by Mr. Asiedu Nketia, who emphasized that doing so will result in much-needed improvement in the community.
He also pointed to the ruling New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) inability to bring back the now-defunct Neoplan Ghana Limited as evidence of the party’s failure to fulfill its “One-District-One-Factory” promise.
In order to guarantee sustainable development and generate employment for young people, he further promised that an NDC government will rebuild the Metro Mass Transit Company.
In closing, the National Chairman urged party members to maintain their unity and strive for success in the next round of elections.
