Many NDC lawmakers have received curses from a member of the National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) Council of Elders in the Central Region for voting in favor of six of President Akufo-ministerial Addo’s nominations despite the party’s instruction to reject them.

John Quayson, a councilman better known by his alias Manoma, stormed the Elmina Cemetery with bottles of schnapps and eggs while pleading with the gods of the land to punish the MPs who betrayed the party harshly.

After calling upon the curses, Manoma issued a challenge to all NDC MPs who believe they are innocent to visit any local cemetery and swear by the gods that they were not paid to work against the party. This was done in an interview with the media.
At the approaching Primaries, he also aske

d NDC delegates to vote against those MPs proven to have deserted the party since they are unreliable.

He asserts that he is not afraid to claim that some NDC Lawmakers are corrupt because he believes some NDC Members are in Parliament for their own personal interests rather than the interests of the general public.

He declared that as a punishment for betraying the NDC Party, he wants any NDC MP who cast a yes vote to lose his or her parliamentary seat and perish.

Manoma noted that a comprehensive inquiry must be carried out to identify the traitorous MPs because this is not the first time NDC Lawmakers have defied the party’s directive.

Several NDC Branch Executives from the Komenda Edina Eguafo Abrem Constituency expressed their displeasure with the MPs in an interview with Kasapa News Yaw Boagyan. They criticized them for their blatant disregard for the party’s directive.

They urged Hon. Samuel Atta Mills, MP for the Komenda Edina Eguafo Abrem Constituency, to appear and swear by the gods that he did not participate in the “Yes” vote to approve the nominations.
