NDC Elections: Otokunor concedes defeat to Fiifi Kwetey in General Secretary race

On Sunday morning, Dr. Peter Boamah Otokunor conceded defeat to Fiifi Kwetey after preliminary results from the 10th National Democratic Congress National Delegates Congress showed the MP for Ketu South had won.

In a post on social media, Fiifi Kwetey hinted that his closest rival, Dr. Otokunor, the party’s immediate past Deputy General Secretary, had contacted him to surrender and offer his congratulations.

“My Brother and Comrade Boamah Otokunor called me a few minutes ago to congratulate me. Very gracious of him. I had earlier told him yesterday that I was proud of his competitive campaigning and I repeated same this morning. I reassured him of my complete readiness to work closely with him to make our party greater and stronger,” Fiifi Kwetey wrote on Facebook.
