The 2024 elections are for John Mahama and no one else, according to Member of Parliament (MP) and former deputy education minister Samuel Okudzato Ablakwa, who advises anyone who want to run against him in the next NDC presidential primaries.
“For me, I will appeal to all those lacing their boots that, this is not going to be the last primaries in Ghana so they can look at that. This 2024 election is for President John Mahama.” The lawmaker said.
He asserted that finding a new leader is urgent since the existing administration, led by Akufo-Addo, has caused significant damage to the nation that has to be repaired.
Such a competition, in his opinion, would be pointless and may shift the party’s emphasis.
Ablakwa stated this in an interview with TV XYZ: “Looking at the contest we are still to face and how they (NPP) have damaged the country; Ghanaians are saying we should go back for NDC, and others even say if you meet John Mahama tell him we are sorry.”
Additionally, Ablakwa stated that he really concurs with the NDC General Secretary that “some of these candidates who squander our time should be allowed to face sanctions.”
“You just need to get on board because John Mahama is what everyone is clamoring for. Come together. This is not the moment to be the nation’s last hope while you are embroiled in pointless internal disputes”, he insisted.
