Lawyer Kpeli Worlase, a member of the Eastern Region’s Afram Plains North Constituency, has been suspended by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) due to accusations of misbehavior.

The party claimed to have received complaints of Mr. Worlase’s purported anti-party actions, including his campaigning against the party’s Parliamentary candidate in the Afram Plains North seat, in a letter dated July 24, 2024.

“At its meeting on the 23rd of July, 2024, FEC deliberated on the matter and decided to suspend you from the party pursuant to Article 48 of the Party’s constitution and subsequently refer the matter to the National Disciplinary Committee for adjudication.”

“You are therefore suspended from the Party with immediate effect,” it stated.

“It will be in your best interest to avail yourself for adjudication to enable the Committee submit a report with recommendations to FEC for further action,” the NDC stated, adding that Mr. Worlase will be invited to a hearing by its Disciplinary Committee.
