NGO donates to Muslims in Eastern Region

A non-governmental organization (NGO), Life Relief And Development has donated assorted food items to aid the burden of some vulnerable Muslim families in deprived communities in the Akuapem North Municipal in the Eastern Region to enable them take part in the 2024 Ramadan successfully.

Regional Director of the organization, Mr Umar Faruk Ibrahim indicated that, the Organization’s aim is to step in when emergencies strike to Providing essential aid when and where it is needed, to the needy, Orphans to Easing suffering and saving lives.

According to him , the month of  Ramadan is the perfect time for charitable NGO to show love and care to the vulnerable in society.

“We have come to give you this food basket because we know, some of you are not able to partake in the fasting because you cannot afford to have Suhur, We are here to assist you with this 2024 Ramadan food basket which contains, Rice, oil, spaghetti, tea leaf, sugar, milk, salt and anything that can help you enjoy a good and healthy meal at dawn ” he indicated.

Many communities, including Tenkong and Kokuomu in the Adawao area of the Akuapem North Municipality in the Eastern Region, were the beneficiaries of Life Relief and Development’s generosity.

Additionally, Sakoora, Redco, Aladjo, Pantang, UN, and other Madina Municipalities in the Greater Accra Region all benefited from the donation of the 2024 Ramadan food basket.

According to Mr. Umar Faruk, the group is thinking of including additional regions like Oti, Volta Savana, the Northeast, and any other community in a region that has communities with a needy and impoverished population.
