The workers who are on strike because the employer is not implementing their newly agreed plan of service, according to a notification they published on Sunday, October 6.
Until the agreed-upon system of services is put into effect, the irate employees vow they won’t end their strike action.
Employees claim that the agreement’s unfulfilled service plan is a flagrant betrayal of confidence and a direct assault on everyone’s wellbeing.
“After exhaustive patience and repeated demands, we regret to inform you that your unacceptable failure to operationalise the newly approved Scheme of Service (SoS) has compelled us to take this decisive action beginning Monday, October 7, 2024. And by extension, all our members will not avail ourselves to work beginning [Monday] until the scheme of service is fully operationalised.”
“The SoS, which was painstakingly approved by PSC within two weeks in record history, in the month of March remains a vital tool for our collective survival and progress. Management’s obstinate refusal to implement this critical document is a blatant betrayal of trust and a direct attack on our well-being.”
