Apostle Mrs. Lilian Kumah, the late Deputy Finance Minister Dr. John Kumah’s widow, has stated that Prophet Nigel Gaisie, who resided in Accra, prophesied her husband’s death. However, she believes Gaisie’s prognosis was based on his own intuition rather than a divine message.

She thinks that at his church session on December 31, 2023, Prophet Nigel Gaisie used the family’s information to craft the prophesy concerning her husband’s passing.

Prophet Nigel Gaisie, the General Overseer of the Prophetic Hill Chapel, chose to utilize Apostle Kumah’s illness as an opportunity to prophesy since she knew her husband, Dr. Kumah, wasn’t feeling well.

Prophet Nigel Gaisie, according to Apostle she, was closer to the family and hence chose to use their personal information for his own advantage in the shape of prophesy only to trend, according to a recorded interview that was broadcast on Accra-based Asaase Radio on Monday, March 11, 2024.

“Nigel Gaisie was like a brother. He knows my late husband, lawyer John Kumah personally, one-on-one. We have sat in this house and eaten together several times. That is how far we go. When he came from abroad to start a church in Ghana, he came to my church, Disciples of Christ Ministries and I did a programme with him dubbed ‘Let the Prophet Speak’ ”

Since November 2023, we have been aware of the late John Kumah’s terrible illness and we knew him very well. When my husband and I believed Nigel Gaisie to be a true man of God, my husband had a great deal of regard for men of God in this nation.

Prophet Nigel Gaisie, however, was rebuked by Apostle Kumah to focus more on growing as a man of God than making false prophesies.

Following a brief illness, the 45-year-old Deputy Finance Minister and Member of Parliament for Ejisu in the Ashanti Region passed unexpectedly.

On Thursday, March 7, 2024, he passed away.
