In order to convey their unhappiness over the lack of advancements in the area, the Mamponteng Traditional Council in the Kwabre East District of the Ashanti Region, led by the Mamponteng Chief, Barima Saasi Ayeboafo II, today organized a press conference.

The Mamponteng Chief’s Palace hosted a press conference on Tuesday, August 9, 2022. In front of the palace was a banner with the words “Boniaye Kai” inscribed in bold.

At the press conference, which was attended by dozens of locals and members of the Mamponteng community, many of the inhabitants wore red clothing and some were visibly upset at the town’s lack of progress.

Speaking at a press conference, the chief of the Mamponteng village, Barima Saasi Ayeboafo II, described how many governments throughout the years have left their market place to deteriorate.

The Chief lamented that the town is lacking in a number of social facilities and development projects, which is why people suffer.

He also mentioned how the local roads linking to other towns are in a terrible condition and do not inspire at all.

Barima Saasi Ayeboafo II laments how the Akufo-Addo administration has abandoned them and claims that he and his constituents are deeply disappointed in Akufo-Addo for failing them.

However, he claims that if their issues are not resolved, they will demonstrate to this government that they understand how to vote in the general elections of 2024.
