November’s inflation rate increased slightly to 23% from 22.1% in October.
The price increases of several food items on the market during the past month had an impact on the adjustment.
The information was made public today, December 4, 2024, at a news conference held in Accra by the Ghana Statistical Service.
In November 2024, food inflation increased to 25.9 percent from 28.8 percent in October 2024.
Similarly, non-food inflation decreased from 21.5% in October 2024 to 20.7% in November.
Additionally, the inflation rate for locally manufactured goods increased from 24.6 percent in October 2024 to 25.4 percent in November 2024, while the inflation rate for imported goods increased from 16.3 percent in October 2024 to 17.6 percent in November 2024.
