Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten, the leader of the Alliance for Revolutionary Change, has accused the ruling NPP and the NDC of undermining Ghana’s progress despite having been given political mandates by the country’s citizens.

Mr. Kyeremanten claims that the statement’s supporting proof may be found in Ghana’s economy’s emerald economic quagmire.

According to Mr. Kyeremanten, Ghana is unable to feed its people after 67 years of independence, which he calls a tragic spectacle. This is connected to the economic mismanagement that the country has endured over time, which has forced Ghana to turn to the IMF for a seventeenth bailout.

He claims that Ghana is at a crossroads and must be spared. He does, however, think that the two major political parties that have ruled Ghana for the past 30 years—the NPP and the NDC—have run out of tricks to achieve the progress and prosperity that the country’s citizens have been longing for.

“NPP and NDC have exhausted their abilities”, Mr. Kyeremanten intimated during his presentation and official launch of the Great Transformational Plan at the Movepick Ambassador Hotel in Accra on Monday,24th of June, 2024. Ghana’s economic situation, he says, has seen no real improvement and all economic indicators point to that fact including debt to GDP ratio, exchange rate fluctuation, high food inflation, unemployment, etc.

Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, the first Prime Minister and President of Ghana, had a clear goal to liberate Ghana economically, according to the aspirant presidential candidate running on the ARC platform. However, Ghana’s current generation of politicians has shown little to no vision for strengthening the country’s economy.

Thus, he has cautioned voters to avoid the two major political parties in the 2024 presidential and legislative elections based on their track records.
