Tuesday night, there was vandalism at the NPP office in the Northern Region’s Bimbila Constituency due to the removal of Alhaji Ahmed Zaruk’s name from the vetting list.
The party youth claim that this is a plot to prevent him from running in the constituency’s future parliamentary primaries.
Some Northern constituencies are starting to get heated over the NPP’s parliamentary primaries. Two people have successfully filed their forms to compete in the upcoming parliamentary primaries in the Bimbila constituency, which is one of these.
These include Alhaji Ahmed Zaruk, a dynamic young member of the party in the Constituency, and Dominic Nitiwul, the Minister of Defense.
However, the news that Alhaji Ahmed Zaruk’s name was missing from the vetting list for unclear reasons shocked the party’s youth in the constituency.
In response, the enraged youth vandalized the constituency office of the party and demanded that Alhaji Ahmed Zaruk’s name be reinstated in order to guarantee a seamless electoral process in the constituency.
The young person also charged the Minister of Defence with orchestrating the removal in order to guarantee his unopposed status.
