Recent verbal assaults on former President John Agyekum Kufuor by a National Democratic Congress (NDC) member have been sharply denounced by the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
During a TV XYZ appearance, Dela Edem, a member of the NDC’s National Communications Team and John Mahama’s adviser, made contentious comments by calling Kufuor “evil” and blaming his health issue on a curse.
NPP National Organiser Henry Nana Boakye, often known as Nana B, condemned the remarks as “despicable, shameful, and disgraceful” in a statement released on Saturday, November 16.
He urged former President John Mahama to take disciplinary action against Edem and distance himself from the comments.
In addition, the NPP has called on Mr. Mahama to issue a public apology to Kufuor, stressing that the former president is still a revered leader whose honor must be preserved.
