Salam Mustapha, the National Youth Organiser for the NPP, has expressed his sincere regret to party members for the party’s devastating defeat in the 2024 elections.
Mustapha expressed profound grief and acknowledged the magnitude of the loss while speaking on Point Blank on Eyewitness News on Citi FM.
“It is with a lot of pain that I admit that we failed, and quite hugely at that,” he said.
He apologized to the party’s base, which included regional and national leaders, youth organizers, constituency executives, polling station executives, and electoral area coordinators.
Mustapha felt especially sorry for the young people who had hoped for the NPP to win.
“I say we are very sorry from the very depths of our hearts to all the party following, especially the thousands, millions of young people who were looking up to us to win the election and give them hope,” Mustapha stated.
Mustapha reassured supporters that the party is still dedicated to coming back stronger and rebuilding after the defeat. The NPP can bounce back from the setback and get back to winning ways, he said.
