Ahead of its national delegate conference, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has mandated the immediate removal of all billboards and advertising from public spaces in the national and provincial capitals.
From 12 p.m. on Friday, July 2022, until after the conference, the party has also banned excessive noise making and jamborees like brass bands and other musical groups from the conference venue.
The party has also prohibited candidates’ memorabilia from being displayed inside the venue and its surroundings.
According to the party, these and other regulations are in place to ensure that the NPP runs a low-key campaign before the delegates conference.
