NPP Primaries: Gideon Boako beats Freda Prempeh to win Tano North

The NPP flagbearer and vice presidential spokesperson, Gideon Boako, defeated Tano North MP Freda Prempeh in the parliamentary primary.

Gideon Boako garnered 444 votes, while Freda Prempeh received 221 votes.

Gifty Twum-Ampofo, the current Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North, lost her bid to serve the constituency once more in another constituency.

She received 202 votes, while Buffalo, whose real name is Nana Ampaw Addo-Frempong, received 222 votes and won the parliamentary primary.

With 177 votes, Laurrette Korkor Asante won the primary in the Atiwa West constituency, putting her in a position to unseat Kwasi Amoako Attah in the upcoming December elections.

Samuel Awuah Danquah received just 18 votes, Kingsley Ofosu Ntiamoah received 48, and Prince Benjamin Aboagye received 134 votes.

This result will bring about a dramatic change in Tano North’s political environment and representation.
