On Saturday, November 4, 2023, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is prepared to hold an open and fair presidential primary.
Over 200,000 party delegates from all over the nation will participate in this primary, casting ballots to choose the NPP’s presidential candidate and the party’s future leader for the 2024 elections.
Henry Nana Boakye, the National Organiser, reports that the NPP has scheduled a meeting on November 4th in the late afternoon at the Accra (Ohene Djan) Sports Stadium. This is in response to the official announcement of the primary election results by the Electoral Commission.
He declared that the people will be officially introduced to the recently elected presidential candidate during this event.
Key people like the National Chairman, Mr. Stephen Ayesu Ntim, the General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, and the entire party leadership will grace the event, he continued.
To support the recently elected candidate, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will also be there.
On November 4, 2023, the NPP will host its National Delegates Conference in order to formally select its flagbearer for the next General Elections. Kennedy Agyapong was Dr. Bawumia’s closest rival in the party’s super delegates election, and his success was consistent with the expectations of credible research organizations.
The report also highlights the party’s strong likelihood of ending the eight-year cycle in the event that the administration performs well and the party stays united following the primaries. Based on this research projection, the NPP stands to gain significantly from Dr. Bawumia’s victory in the flagbearership contest in the next elections.
